| The Mt. Nebo Baptist Christian
Academy is the fulfillment of an anointed vision of our
Pastor, Rev. Anthony J. McMichael. In October, 1994 the
Mt. Nebo Baptist Church and Life Center extended the
ministries by offering child development and Christian
education in infants, toddlers and preschool children in
the Thomasville and surrounding communities of Southeast
Atlanta.
In September 1995, the Academy opened the first
Kindergarten class. In the same year, the enrollment
increased with the addition of the state funded Georgia
Pre-Kindergarten Program which offers "Free
Education" to eligible four year old children. In
September 196, the Academy began its' first 1st Grade
class.
In keeping with God's plan, the mission of the
"Academy" to win souls for Christ through high
quality academic and spiritual teaching moves fervently
forward toward higher heights in the knowledge and the
strength that "through Christ all things are
possible."

| The Mt. Nebo Baptist Christian
Academy anticipates continued growth by adding one grade
each year up to the 6th grade level. Plans are already in
progress to include the additional classrooms in the new
multipurpose complex on the grounds of the Mt. Nebo
Baptist Church and Life Center,
As a member of the Association of Christian Schools
International, accreditation to ensure that quality
standards and educational excellence are maintained at all
times is forthcoming. Periodic training at the Pensacola
Christian College to enhance the quality of teaching
of the first year as well as the experienced teacher
guarantees excellence in the delivery of the A Beka
curriculum. Mandatory annual training by the Office of
School Readiness and the Dept. of Human Resources prepares
competent and qualified staff to implement a program of
enriched learning experiences.
We take seriously our commitment to Christ, whose name
is Excellent and will continuously ensure that the Mt.
Nebo Baptist Christian Academy provides the highest
standards of academic excellence possible. Your continued
support as a community, church and school family will help
to make it so.
